About Our Centre
Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Centre is situated in Central Oslo, within easy walking distance from the parliament, train station, Opera House and harbour area. It is set in a beautiful and peaceful location, surrounded by museums and art galleries at Kongens gate 2.
Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Centre is a non-profit forening registered in Norway (995 250 160) and is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU).
This is a Mahayana Buddhist tradition founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso that is
derived from the Buddhist meditators and scholars Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa.
Our centre is part of a world-wide association of study and meditation centres dedicated to helping people everywhere find meaning and purpose in their lives, and to the development of genuine inner peace and happiness, and we aim to offer a place of peace and inspiration in the heart of Oslo.
We also hope to offer classes and courses in other parts of Norway so please let us know if you would like a class in your area.
