The center holds regular sessions of chanted meditations, or "pujas", which combine chanting with meditation, visualization, and mantra recitation.
Pujas (chanted prayers) are an important part of training in a spiritual life. They help us to still our mind, connect with the Buddhas and receive blessings and protection. They also prepare our mind for meditation and are very healing and inspiring.
All of our prayers and meditation practices are recited in English with CD accompaniment and follow a range of Buddhist prayer booklets. These prayer booklets, known as sadhanas, can also be used for individual practice and are available from tharpa.co.uk or at the centre.
These chanted prayer practices are suitable for both beginners and more advanced practitioners.
Times and dates may vary - please check the online calendar for any schedule changes.
You can also download and print out a month by month calender here:

All pujas are free of charge.
Heart Jewel
The daily puja at Kadampa Buddhist Centres is Heart Jewel, often with a short meditation on Lamrim. By relying upon this practice, we can purify negativity, accumulate merit, and receive blessings. In this way we will naturally accomplish spiritual realizations and attain a very special Dharma wisdom.
Wishfulling Jewel with "Tsog" offerings
This puja takes place regularly at the centre. Everyone is welcome to join in with these chanted prayers and offerings. If you wish you can bring a small vegetarian food offering which will be shared at the tsog party after the puja.
