What to Expect at a Class

All the meditation classes are based on a special presentation of authentic Buddhist teachings that have been made relevant for modern western people.  These teachings include practical methods to increase our happiness and well-being, to solve our daily problems, and to find deeper meaning in our lives.

It is not necessary to be a Buddhist to attend or benefit from the classes and meditations, everyone is welcome.

Each class contains both meditations and practical teachings from Buddhism that we can immediately apply in our daily lives.  We sit in ordinary chairs and no special clothing is necessary.

Following a short Buddhist prayer dedicated to peace the class starts with a guided meditation to relax and unwind.  This is followed by a short talk on the subject for the evening followed by a second meditation related to the talk.  At the end of the class there is time for Q & A followed by refreshments.

To gain the most benefit from the classes it is best to attend as many classes as you can.  In this way you can build on the experience and understanding gained in the class each week and deepen your experience of meditation.

At our classes we sell a range of Buddhist books, meditation CDs and gift cards.

If you have any further questions about the classes before you attend please send us an email or give us a call and we will be happy to help.
