Living in the moment
Friday: August 14th, 18.00 to 19.30
with Kadam Lucy James
Do you ever find it hard to let go of past traumas and/or feel anxious about the future?
It is so important to learn to live our lives more in the present moment. Until we do this, we will never find deep peace and happiness because our mind will always be jumping from a non-existent past to a non-existent future. In truth, there is only the present moment. When we learn to fully accept and embrace every present moment, we begin to experience profound levels of contentment and healing, and feel increasingly peaceful and fulfilled. In this talk, Kadam Lucy will introduce Buddha’s teachings on how to achieve this, how to live in the moment, in the present, in the here and now. In this age of distraction, depression and worry, this advice is more relevant than ever.
Free your mind with wisdom
Saturday/Sunday: August 15th 10.30 – August 16th 17.30
Weekend meditation retreat with Kadam Lucy James
(Individual session times are given below)
Is your mind ever crammed full of thoughts you’d rather not be having? Or stuck in painful places, as if your thoughts are thinking you rather than the other way around? Dragging you around with them wherever they feel like it, even when you’d rather be somewhere else? And seemingly fixed and intractable even when you’ve been trying your best to change them?
Fortunately for all of us, Buddha’s teachings reveal that the inflexible, limited mind we normally relate to is nowhere near as solid or fixed as it appears! By meditating on our mind’s ultimate nature, its emptiness of existing in an objective, inherent way, we can quickly break free — uncovering our boundless potential for joyful transformation.
Whether you are an experienced meditator or a newcomer, this retreat will greatly improve the quality of your meditation. You will feel increasing peace and energy over the course of the weekend, and can then bring this to your home and to work with you!

About this online event
Kadam Lucy was due to visit the Nordic region in August to give live teachings. However, due to current travel restrictions, this is not possible, so she is giving the teachings she would have given via a combination of live-streaming and recorded videos.
She will be teaching a live class on Friday 14th August, and be leading a meditation retreat on 15th & 16th August. Everyone is welcome to attend.
After booking, you will be sent a link to where you can access the online classes.
