During this retreat we will meditate on the five stages of Mahamudra according to the Ganden Oral lineage. Participants to this retreat are advised to attend the Lamrim retreat or part of it to prepare for this Mahamudra retreat.
Gen Dragpa will briefly introduce the meditations and then in the silence everyone has the opportunity to find and mix their mind with the object of meditation of that session.
Through Mahamudra meditation, in particular meditation on the channels and winds of our subtle body, we can manifest our clear light mind, experience its essential purity, and quickly develop great power to heal ourselves and others in the world. When through the force of meditation our mind transforms into the mind of great bliss and this mind realizes emptiness directly, this is the union of great bliss and emptiness, the actual realization of Mahamudra. We will then definitely become a Buddha in this life.
This retreat is based on the book The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra by by Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and offers an opportunity to get to know and become familiar with the practices that lead to the actual realization of Mahamudra. We are very fortunate to be able to meditate on these instructions which have guided (and are guiding) countless fortunate practitioners to the state of enlightenment within one life.
