«The purpose of the EU’s Privacy Regulation is to ensure good protection of personal data while allowing such information to be freely exchanged within the EEA.
The Regulation continues many of the principles of the current Personal Data Protection Directive, but introduces a number of new rules. These include expanded duties for businesses, such as informing about how the business processes personal information, investigating privacy implications for actions that pose a high risk of privacy and to notify about security breaches.
The privacy regulation makes it necessary to change Norwegian law and regulations. The Government presented a proposal with a new Personal Information Act and a request for Parliament’s prior consent to incorporate the regulation into the EEA Agreement on March 23, 2018. The Storting adopted the new Personal Information Act on May 28, 2018, and Act No. 15 of June 2011 on the Processing of Personal Information ( Personal Data Act ) was sanctioned by the Cabinet of Ministers on 15 June 2018. INFORMATION WE COLLECT ON YOU
This includes technical information, such as IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system and platform, URL clickstream to, through and from our site (including date & time), pages you viewed or searched for and page interaction information. This data is collected by Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. Nordic KMC has no access to any identifiable information from this data.
We also share information about your use of our site with our trusted social media, advertising and analytics partners. This means that based on your activity on our Site, you may see adverts for our events on social media. See Facebook Privacy Policy.
E-NEWSLETTER
Nordisk Kadampa Meditasjonssenter uses a third party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our e-newsletters. Statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies including clear gifs help us to monitor and improve our e-newsletter. PEOPLE WHO USE OUR ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM
Information collected and processed is necessary to manage and administer your booking, and to facilitate event planning. We may contact you via email or phone regarding your booking. We may also send you e-newsletters with information about the event you have booked for, or future events.

PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN DURING EVENTS
Images may be captured during events organised and hosted by Nordisk Kadampa Meditasjonssenter using film photography, digital photography, video or other medium and may be used on the website, event publicity or brochures, other publicity material (such as internal and external newsletters), and may be provided to the media for publication in local or national newspapers or magazines and other resources. Nordisk Kadampa Meditasjonssenter acknowledges its responsibilities in capturing images by photography or other means under applicable law.
HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
Your information will be retained for a period of 6 years plus the current year, for statutory record keeping purposes. After this time, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it for longer, your personal information will be deleted or, where data is required for statistical purposes, anonymised.
Your information used for marketing purposes will be kept until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
