Meaningful Christmas party

Welcome to the Kadampa Meditation Centre Oslo’s annual FUNdraising event!

With the goal of continuing to develop our Centre so we can help many people in Oslo and Norway find inner peace. We’re delighted to be able to host this fun and meaningful event again!

A wonderful opportunity get into the holiday spirit, meet old friends and make new ones and help your local Kadampa meditation centre.

Schedule:

13:00 - Doors open
Gift shop & café with homemade goods. Coffee, various teas, cakes, etc.

14:00-14:25 Puppet theater for kids aged 0-99,
The Story of Angulimala You can also come only for this event - 50 kr (på Norsk)

15:00-16:30 Christmas auction & raffle & Puppet theater (på Norsk)

17:00-18:00 - How to enjoy our holiday
Teaching and meditation. You can also come only for this event - 150 Kr

The Story of Angulimala - Buddhism for Children

A beautifully illustrated story of hope and personal transformation from the life of Buddha that addresses many of the issues confronting both children and adults today.

Themes include:

  • How to stop being angry and harmful

  • How to be calm and peaceful

  • How to be loving and kind towards each other

 

The teaching&meditation class is taught by Gen Kelsang Dragpa.  He is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa meditasjonssenter Oslo and National Spiritual Director for the Nordic Region.  He has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for many years and has been an ordained monk since 1993.  His way of teaching is very practical and easy to understand.

Everybody welcome
No need for any special clothing or equipment. No previous experience is required. You can sit on a chair or on a meditation cushion.
