A practical half day course with teachings and meditations on
how to make ourselves happy.
This course we will investigate these following questions:
Is it possible to be happy all the time?
Why do we often feel that we need so many things before we can feel satisfied
How can I make myself more peaceful and happy?
If we want to enjoy pure and lasting happiness, we need to learn to create it within our own mind through the practice of meditation and Dharma – Buddha’s teachings. Inner peace depends on mixing our mind with virtues such as patience, loving-kindness, compassion and wisdom.
We simply familiarize our mind in formal meditation as well as in our daily life with positive mental states such as patience and loving kindness, and as a result we become patient, we become loving and we become kind. This is training our mind, anyone can do this.
All we need is to understand the value and benefits of inner peace and the disadvantages of unskillful problem causing minds. Gradually our negative states of mind that destroy our inner peace are replaced by positive states that are the causes of inner peace and happiness.
