Tantra – the quick path to enlightenment

  • Nordisk Kadampa Meditasjonssenter 26 Majorstuveien Oslo, 0367 Norway (map)

In his Sutra teachings Buddha gives us great encouragement to accomplish the ultimate goal of human life. This goal will be accomplished quickly through the practice of Tantra.

Tantra, also known as ‘Secret Mantra’ or ‘Vajrayana’, is a special method to purify our world, our self, our enjoyments and our activities; and if we put this method into practice we shall very quickly attain enlightenment.

In this half-day course Gen Dragpa will give an introduction to Buddhist Tantra and explain how we can develop a healthy tantric practise based upon Buddha's teachings on renunciation, bodhichitta and emptiness. With these bases it is possible to practise Tantra correctly and gain its wonderful benefits. Eventually we will experience ourselves and others as completely pure and experience our world as a blissful Pure Land free from problems.

This course is open to anybody interested in Buddhist Tantra, and very helpful for those who might take the Highest Yoga Tantra empowerments of Heruka and Vajrayogini during the NKT-IKBU summer festival.
