If you realise your own mind you will become a Buddha; you should not seek Buddhahood elsewhere.

EASTER RETREAT

Even though modern science has developed tremendously in recent years and brought some great results , when the mind - or consciousness - has been studied no definitive results or conclusions have been reached. This is because the mind can only be studied through inner means.

Buddha explained that our root consciousness, the very subtle mind, is not the brain, but a formless continuum, located at our heart center, that functions to know or perceive and has the power to create phenomena.

In this retreat based on Buddha's Mahamudra teachings, Gen Dragpa will guide you through beautiful meditations on your mind to get a feeling for the blissful clarity of your own mind. This will give you a direct experience of what your mind is and how your thoughts and feelings arise.

These meditations have great practical benefits – from calming our mind and reducing distractions, anxiety and delusions; to improving our concentration and mindfulness. They also can increase a feeling of bliss and the ability to realise directly our own very subtle mind and, finally, to attain actual enlightenment..
